Log all new information into a database and provide scheduled reports for coordination and reporting purposes. Interact with customers, patients, providers, and staff to coordinate pre-op surgery and post-appointment along with all follow-up appointments. Evaluate patients for surgery readiness to determine the appropriate OR and post-op timeframe. Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine the effect of schedule changes and recommend work-around. Manage daily add-ons and emergency cases, and assist the team in developing and maintaining periodic status reports to keep management informed. Analyze to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules. Depending upon the location and assigned area of responsibility, the following duties may apply: Prepare patients for examinations including taking and recording vital signs, printing medication lists, and other tasks. Perform Point of Care (POC) testing on patients, maintain POC equipment and supplies, and maintain equipment/controls. May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired. Three (3) years of scheduling, clerical, office, or healthcare related work experience.
