This general neurology position will see a variety of pediatric patients with various neurological concern including patients with concern for headache and chronic headaches, rule out seizures, tic and Tourette Syndrome and movement disorders.The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse I (APRN-I) provides comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing to address the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. The APRN-I participates in beginning leadership, evidenced-based practice/ research, and organizational development activities with the support and direction of an experienced APRN mentor.At Children's Mercy, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls. Clinical Practice: competently provides comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing care to address the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement.
Professional Practice: actively participates in beginning leadership, evidenced-based practice/research, and organizational development activities with the support and direction of an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse mentor.Qualifications
Master's Degree Required and 1-2 years experience Pediatric RN experience. Exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis within preferred specialty.DNP preferred and 1-2 years experience Pediatric RN experience.
