Pomelo’s mission is to increase financial access and empowerment for immigrants and their loved ones back home. We are proud to be the first financial technology platform to combine consumer credit and global remittances. Our product solves the worst aspects of money transfer by empowering our customers to use credit rather than cash. At the same time, we help immigrants establish their financial future in their new country by building positive credit history with their existing remittance obligations and financially include their loved ones in emerging economies with access to modern financial instruments. We’re a team of ~45 and are growing our San Francisco headquarters. About the Team Our Frontend Team is dedicated to creating and enhancing user experiences that make a real impact. We work on a variety of exciting projects, from user onboarding to native app development, and we're always looking for new ways to innovate. Our team focuses on building core UI/UX features and solving platform challenges, with areas of responsibility including frontend infrastructure and design system integration. We're searching for someone who not only has a strong foundation in frontend engineering but also shares our enthusiasm for both quality and speed. Whether it’s strategic planning or hands-on coding, you'll have the opportunity to contribute at all levels. Your Role Design and implement creative and effective solutions for a range of frontend engineering projects. Continuously improve our engineering processes, tools, and systems to help us scale, boost productivity, and support team growth. Foster collaboration across teams, working closely with backend engineering, product, and other cross-functional partners. Align technical strategies with the overall business needs, balancing immediate goals with long-term vision. What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in frontend or full-stack roles. Strong expertise in TypeScript and experience building applications with React Native. A love for fast-paced environments where you can continuously learn and refine your skills. A proven ability to take ownership and deliver high-quality products. An aptitude for translating business and product ideas into effective engineering solutions.
