to support the NGMC MDA in

Annapolis Junction or Linthicum, MD .What You'll Get to Do:This is a dual-role technical manager position. Management duties will require tasking and coordination of approximately 10-15 staff, with process support and resource coordination with functional homeroom management. The manager will also be expected to perform technical work on programs.Key roles and responsibilities include:Lead a team of 10-15 technical staff in management role. Administrative management responsibilities include staffing, performance and compensation management, and career development.Execute in a direct contributor or technical leadership role supporting MDA programs in one of the following areas: Materials science; modeling, design or test of superconducting electronics; quantum mechanics; low temperature physics; computer architectures; processing/memory subsystems; large-scale high performance computing systems; analog, RF, or digital design.Responsible and held accountable for labor and material execution through cost account management (CAM) assignments.Accountable to stakeholders and program managers for status updates, issue resolution, and overall engineering execution.Partnering with program management office to ensure successful execution against cost and schedule targets.Providing technical leadership to the team and ensuring proper engineering processes and procedures are followed.Work with peers and training leads to identify critical skill shortfalls; develop appropriate technical training; and improve team performance.This position requires work onsite in either Linthicum, MD or Annapolis Junction, MD facilities.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 9 years of experience; Master of Science degree in STEM related engineering field plus 7 years of professional experience; PhD in STEM related engineering field plus 4 years of related experience.Experience in one or more of the following: Materials science; modeling, design, or test of superconducting electronics; quantum mechanics; low temperature physics; computer architectures; processing/memory subsystems; large-scale high performance computing systems; analog, RF, or digital design.Strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication and collaboration, team engagement, and organizational skills.Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph per business requirements. U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Business Management, Engineering Leadership, or STEM equivalent.12 years of experience in a multi-disciplined science/engineering environment.Demonstrated success leading high performance teams as technical, integrated product team, and/or functional leader.Experience with Lean-Agile development for modelling and/or hardware systems.Experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic, or technical capacity.Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.Salary Range:

$145,000 - $217,400The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
