A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Litigation Support Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have substantive litigation experience, strong academic credentials, and excellent communication skills. They will be responsible for managing document review teams, ensuring document accuracy, and supporting trial preparation for complex legal cases.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage and lead document review teams of various sizes, including preparing manuals and defining review processes.Conduct thorough quality control reviews of legal documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.Identify and rectify inconsistencies or errors in document production.Create and maintain detailed privilege logs reflecting privileged documents and communications.Summarize complex legal documents such as evidentiary materials, depositions, and discovery responses.Develop detailed chronologies of case events and organize case facts into clear timelines.Provide concise summaries to assist the legal team in case preparation.Assist in deposition preparation by identifying potential exhibits and summarizing relevant witness events.Support trial preparation by organizing and managing trial exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure readiness for trial.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.Active member in good standing of the Bar in at least one state or the District of Columbia; ability to become admitted to a jurisdiction where the firm operates.2-5 years of substantive litigation experience, preferably handling complex legal issues.Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.Preferred Skills:Experience or demonstrated interest in major environmental statutes (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, CERCLA).Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) certification or proficiency in document review software.Certifications:RCA certification preferred.Striving for a small firm atmosphere, this top environmental firm prides itself on its diversity, extensive training, and competitive pay.
