Today, we build regional marketplaces to connect the supply of educational opportunities with the demand for skilled and credentialed workforce professionals.The roleReUp Education is seeking a skilled Senior Frontend Engineer, React, to build our next generation of responsive web apps enabling us to support institutions of higher learning and their millions of adult learners. This role will be a key member of the software engineering team creating and delivering new products to market.As Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll work with a cross-functional team responsible for the full software development life cycle, from ideation to production release. This includes working with graphic designers and product managers who will define the specifications and features. You will be part of a team developing the features from top (frontend) to bottom (backend), ensuring the application is functional and responsive. You should have expert-level experience with frontend coding languages, frameworks, tools, and third-party libraries.If you are passionate about working on a project that will have a real-world positive impact on people's day-to-day lives, we encourage you to apply!What you’ll doAs our Senior Frontend React Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Working with architects, developers, designers, and product managers to create software solutions.Participating in the technical, data modeling, and architectural decisions for the frontend of a cloud-based web application.Developing frontend components based on UI design specifications.Developing backend APIs used by the frontend.Testing software for bugs, responsiveness, performance, and security vulnerabilities.Developing clean, reusable, and documented code and troubleshooting, debugging, and updating code to fix issues.QualificationsAs a Senior Frontend React Engineer, you'll bring a deep understanding of both frontend and backend development to our team. We're looking for a seasoned professional with:5+ years of experience building SaaS web applications.Experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Python) and databases (SQL, NoSQL).Expertise in modern development practices, security, CI/CD, API development (RESTful, GraphQL), and cloud platforms, such as AWS.Agile (Scrum) experience.Nice to haveExperience in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.A history of mentoring junior engineers in frontend development with React.Experience developing a library of reusable React components used in multiple applications.What does success look like?Collaborates seamlessly across teams to solve complex problems creatively.Thrives in fast-paced environments while maintaining a strong growth mindset.Leverages data insights to drive impactful solutions while understanding the human element.LocationThis hybrid role will be based in Austin, TX.
