Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards. Works under minimal direction.The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer - DevSecOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our ecosystem development team. The ecosystem team is focused on developer experience and driving the latest technologies into the development environment to enable faster deployment of software products.In this role, you will help guide the Boeing Enterprise transformation of DevSecOps across our business units. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain a modern system deployment to the cloud environment with a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows for system build, test and deploy in containerized microservices. We operate as a fast paced agile team. Performs analysis, design, development and implementation activities to install, configure and maintain infrastructure, software and components in cloud platform utilizing everything as code, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC), for deployments.Develop, enhance and sustain our DevOps Tools infrastructure & operations in multiple Cloud Service environments.Collaborate on idea creation and development of the DevOps tool chain.Support the ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the DevOps tool chain.Roll out upgrades to our software factories as needed.Support the software quality efforts of our Boeing product deliveries to our customers.Performs activities to ensure alignment of use cases and objectives with architecture and security.Provides guidance and direction to DevSecOps developers and administrators.Troubleshoots application deployment issues and provide production support when needed.Research/analyze issues (such as application integration, performance etc.) and provide recommendations and resolution.Lead efforts to relentlessly improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response.Research and pitch new tools/products to the team.Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5+ years of programming in Java, Python, Go, C++, etc.5+ years of experience with modern software development methodologies.3+ years’ experience with Cloud technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, AZURE, or AWS.4+ years’ experience in software development, systems engineering, or integration and test experience with mission systems on tactical platforms.4+ years’ experience working with and supporting systems with Linux Operating System (OS).3+ years of experience with Atlassian application suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket).3+ years of experience with other pipeline tools (e.g. Jenkins, Trivy, SonarQube).3+ years of experience scripting: YAML, JSON, Python, BASH, PowerShell.3+ years’ experience with Docker, Podman and/or Kubernetes.Proficient in technologies such as Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Istio, Rancher, Openshift, Git, Helm, Ansible, Chef, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, or AppDynamics.Strong Working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment.Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset.Understanding of designing and implementing full stack/Microservice infrastructure.Have the ability to set up, and manage a tool-chain using tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Artifactory, ELK, SonarQube, Jira, Prometheus, Fluentd, Helm, DataGrid, JBoss, Cloud Suite, OpenShift, Docker and more.Understanding of security controls such as DoD RMF, HIPAA, or Security Operations Center (SOC).- 1-5 things HM is looking for on resume:
