The RoleReporting directly to the Chief Communications & Citizenship Officer, a member of the Company's executive leadership team, our Vice President of Corporate Communications will be responsible for setting the quality standards and leading the operational efficiency of our high-performing Corporate Communications function. The successful candidate will be results-oriented with demonstrated competencies in the critical areas of reputation management, traditional and social media, and expertise in best-in-class internal communications and employee engagement (including leading a robust portfolio of internal events). The successful candidate, who will lead a group of ten communications professionals, will have proven experience in recruiting, managing, and mentoring highly effective, innovative and collaborative teams. The successful candidate will work closely and collaboratively with the Chief Communications & Citizenship Officer, the Division's Chief of Staff, the Vice President of Corporate Citizenship, while serving a wide range of internal clients including the Chief Executive Officer and other members of the executive team, as well as business and functional unit leaders.Key accountabilities for the role include:The development and execution of strategies and programs to inform, educate and engage 4000+ associates in support of our Company's strategic objectives and business performance. The candidate will play a critical role (in collaboration with our People/HR Team) in the overall engagement of our workforce.The development and execution of a robust internal events program inclusive of small to large scale in-person and virtual events.The planning and execution of strategies and deliverables to support our associates through significant change in the way we work given the competitive and financial pressures facing BCBSMA and the entire health insurance industry.Providing strategic counsel to the Chief Executive Officer and the entire executive team (C-suite) on important communication matters.Ensuring the management of the Company's strong reputation in the marketplace and the community, including a proactive and robust media relations function.Leading a high-performing team in developing new, innovative and effective communications across diverse channels that achieve high-impact with demonstrated outcomes and results.Responsibility for the Company's crisis communications approach and protocols.Key CompetenciesShaping strategy : Ability to develop, manage and implement thoughtful communication strategies to achieve business goals, with a proven track record of providing strategic analysis and counsel to executive leaders in complex environments.Execution-oriented:
