JOB SUMMARYMarriott International is seeking a dynamic and strategic
Vice President & Global Premium Category Leader
to oversee our robust brand portfolio. This leader will drive the development and execution of global brand business blueprints, ensuring that they meet financial expectations and have global applicability. They will provide day-to-day oversight for shared pods and cross-discipline groups, fostering innovation and delivering impactful lodging products and experiences. The role emphasizes global collaboration, effective resource allocation, and performance monitoring, utilizing data to inform strategic decisions. Acting as the global brand voice, the Category leader will promote brand values, engage with key stakeholders, and facilitate regional adaptations to drive brand success. This position is crucial in leveraging Marriott International's scale to enhance brand consistency and speed-to-market, supporting local brand creation by continent teams. Additionally, they will support the development, maintenance, and evolution of key global customer platforms to facilitate execution, customer listening, and sharing of best practices. The ideal candidate will inspire teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, driving growth and innovation across the organization.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and ExperienceRequired4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related major.12 years of relevant professional experience in brand management or 14 years in a related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and patterns of exceptional performance.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive brand roadmaps that align with business objectives.Fluent in end-to-end experience design that incorporates F&B concepting and that incorporates innovation across all customer touchpoints.PreferredProcess Experience:
Expertise in the design and development of processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.Brand Advocacy:
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to serve as a global brand voice and steward at conferences and with key stakeholders.Change Management:
Demonstrated ability to inspire teams and drive effective execution within large, matrixed organizations.CORE WORK ACTIVITIESBrand Business Blueprint Ownership:
Oversee the maintenance, performance, and evolution of comprehensive global brand business blueprints for Premium brands. Ensure blueprints clearly articulate financials important to owners, including affiliation structure and cost to build, with considerations for global applicability.Leadership & Innovation:
Provide day-to-day oversight to shared product teams and cross-discipline working groups to deliver planned work and lead the development of lodging products and experiences that resonate across global markets. Partner with the Global Lodging Products & Experiences Leader to allocate resources effectively across Premium brand initiatives that drive global impact. Encourage a culture of innovation across the Premium brand category, promoting creative solutions that address global market needs.Develop, Maintain & Evolve Enterprise Platforms:
Support the development and evolution of key platforms that facilitate global execution, customer listening, and sharing of best practices, ensuring they are adaptable to global needs. Ensure platforms support the overall strategic goals of the Premium brand category.Global Performance Monitoring:
Monitor the performance of Premium brands on a global scale, utilizing comprehensive and shared performance metrics. Utilize data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement, ensuring global insights are incorporated.Brand Advocacy & Representation:
Serve as the global brand voice and steward at conferences and key events, promoting brand values. Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, agencies, and industry leaders, with an emphasis on global engagement.Empower Continents & Increase Speed-to-Market:
Act as a global facilitator and connector for the Premium category, leveraging Marriott International's scale to drive brand success. Drive consistency in brand experience while enabling flexibility and increased speed to market for regional adaptations. Support local brand creation that is owned end-to-end by continent teams.The salary range for this position is $215,775 to $365,000 annually. Marriott offers a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans.
