Senior DevOps Engineer II/Lead
is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our spacecraft flight software build environment. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a team to proactively meet the needs of our software development groups. You will be working closely with the flight software, ground software, GNC, and IT teams to plan out and implement CI/CD/CT pipelines and design deployment strategies for a variety of missions, test platforms, and customer installations.WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:Lead a team of DevOps engineers based out of Long Beach, CA and Denver, COWork closely with embedded software teams to develop and improve our TeamCity build and test pipelinesDevelop an API driven system to deploy binaries and other software artifacts on to spacecraft hardware for Flight, Hardware-in-the-loop, and FlatSat testingWork closely with our ground software and mission operations teams to deploy and maintain flight control software in our operations control centersWork with our Assembly Integration & Test (AI&T) team to integrate the spacecraft hardware into the Build and Test frameworkYOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS (Note: you must meet every qualification in order to be considered):Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or similar applicable engineering discipline8+ years of experience in a DevOps role or related software rolesStrong experience with LinuxStrong experience with Docker and KubernetesExperience building C/C++ ApplicationsTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:Experience writing a TeamCity Pipeline-as-Configuration library/frameworkExperience with embedded software including microcontrollers and/or Q7Experience with Gitlab/Jira IntegrationExperience with embedded toolchainsStrong experience writing maintainable bash scriptsExperience with Python 3+Experience with Git SubmodulesExperience with YoctoExperience with Make and/or CMakeExperience with BazelExperience with Robot FrameworkExperience using GCC with cross compilationExperience with a Code Quality tool like SonarQube or CppCheckExperience with dynamic analysis tools like ASan and ValgrindADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.Must be physically able to commute to buildingsOccasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
