Embedded programming within the Modular Mission Computer (MMC) group will provide opportunities to improve upon a multi-role fighter that has flown thousands of missions, fulfilling roles such as offensive counter air, close air support and suppression of enemy air defense. The Lockheed Martin MMC support team needs engineers/developers like you to improve the situational awareness of the aircraft and help lead the United States Air Force into the future of enhanced avionics and weapon systems.Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment team as a Staff-Level Software Engineer! Provide support for Modular Mission Computer (MMC) Operational Flight Program (OFP) development in the Avionics Integration Support Facility (AISF) at Hill AFB, Utah.Responsibilities include:Code development in C++, C, Ada, and Assembly.Debugging using Green Hills Multi / AdaMulti tools.Target environments will be embedded MIPS (an acronym for Microprocessor without Interlocked Pipeline Stages) and Power PC based flyable hardware as well as a simulated Solaris or Linux environment for desktop testing.Maintain code and documentation within established configuration management systems: Git and Dimensions.Participate in Peer Reviews of documentation and code.Collaborate with pilots, system design engineers, and management to identify end-user software requirements.Use F-16 software models and emulators to validate source code changes against requirements.Create and update documentation to ensure that design is captured for code extensibility and readability.Constantly increase knowledge of F-16 system by working on a variety of F-16 software components.Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.Experience with software development methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile.Software code experience with one or more of the following: C++, C, C#, Java, Ada.Object-Oriented Design (OOD) software development experience.Experience using Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling tools to develop software.Basic Linux or Unix command experience.Software configuration tool experience.Desired Skills:Avionics software familiarity: Fire Control, Stores Management or Heads-up Display.Software Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tool experience.Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Science Engineering Degree.Experience with developing F-16 or other USAF fighter aircraft avionics software.Software development and debugging using Green Hills IDE tools.Kennedy-Carter UML software modeling experience.GIT software development configuration experience.Rhapsody UML modeling experience.Software Requirements traceability database tool experience.Dimensions configuration management tool experience.Security Clearance Statement:
