JOB SUMMARY:At the highest level, must have an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and committed effort to performing their job in an ethical and proper manner. This role will function as a project manager for Construction Services in the PA West region and partner with other project managers in support of our clients. Responsible for planning, organizing, leading, implementing, and controlling various projects in support of the Vice President‐Construction Services Manager – PA West (VP CSM PA West) and in conjunction with other project managers within the division. Accountable for overall planning, programming, monitoring, reporting, and oversight of construction projects and personnel in the PA West Region.CDR Maguire delivers engineering consulting services, emergency management solutions, and disaster health and medical services. Partnering with clients to solve their most complex challenges, CDR Maguire Engineering provides a full continuum of services, including project and program management, transportation design, and construction engineering management and inspection.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:AdministrationSupervise and oversee the work of construction inspection and management staff.Effectively monitor project budgets and prepare project budget forecasts.Oversee and coordinate detailed project/planning.Organize/run team meetings and attend task meetings.Assist in the development of Statements of Interests and proposals.Coordinate work with subconsultants and other involved parties, managing subconsultant budget and deliverables.Maintain high quality performance and inspection standards within billable goals that properly balance profitability with the quality standards of the organization.Lead process improvement teams as assigned.Drive improvements and efficiencies that result in optimized profit margins on each project.Oversee preparation of technical and price proposals.Coordinate with VP CSM PA West on overall growth strategy for the region and liaise with PA Manager of Construction Services and PA CSM PA East.Provide primary communication interface with clients with limitations as required for representation to time-restricted clientele (e.g., PennDOT one-year duration).Protect and reinforce core client relationships with limitations as required for representation to time-restricted clientele (e.g., PennDOT one-year duration).Seek new client opportunities to support growth.Conduct and document meetings and conversations with clients with limitations as required for representation to time-restricted clientele (e.g., PennDOT one-year duration).Ensure compliance with the contract documents by the contractor.Ensure compliance with the contractor’s health and safety plan.Oversee construction schedules.Monitor overall quality control and quality assurance for construction projects.OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Participate in Annual and Interim Strategic Planning and Partnering with Engineering Senior Management. Client Interface on Project Portfolio with limitations as required for representation to time-restricted clientele (e.g., PennDOT one-year duration).Other duties that may arise from time to time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:B.S. Degree in Engineering or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.8+ years of related experience with a minimum of 2 years in a management capacity.Experience with Construction Management and Construction Inspection in Western PA PennDOT Districts and PA Turnpike projects.Professional Registration Preferred.Ability to communicate effectively with ownership, management, co-workers, customers, vendors, contractors, partners, and other stakeholders.Applied knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines with respect to field.Proven inspiring leadership skills.Proven strategic planning and business development experience.Financial management knowledge and ability to review and interpret financial statements.Knowledge of computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, power point, Prezi relevant software as may be required to perform job duties.High level of presentation skills.CDR Maguire is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V and EO/AAN/D.
