We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Information Federal Government Security team! As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the security infrastructure of a major Federal Government project in our organization. You will work closely with other IT professionals and business leaders to ensure that our systems are secure, compliant with industry standards, and capable of protecting sensitive data against emerging threats. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, and cybersecurity requirements in the Federal Government, a strong technical background, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related fieldMinimum of 8 years of experience in a cybersecurity roleMinimum of 4 years of experience leading Security Operations, SOC leadership, and/or IT complianceIndustry related IT certificationExpertise in designing and implementing secure, highly available, fault-tolerant cloud architecturesIn-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and othersProven experience in designing and implementing security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and identity managementStrong understanding of cloud security, including experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft IntuneExperience with risk management and the ability to perform security assessments and vulnerability testingExperience in network security principles, such as including VPNs, IPSec, TLS/SSL, and wireless securityExperience with enterprise security solutions such as WAF, IPS, DDOS, and SIEMProficiency in managing alerts and insights from security solutions like SIEM, SOAR, CSPM, EDR & AppSec toolsetsFamiliarity with security toolsets like Splunk ES, Trend Micro, Prisma, Sonarqube, Tenable, and cloud-native security servicesAbility to conduct comprehensive security assessments and manage the vulnerability lifecycleFamiliarity with regulatory requirements such as FedRAMP and from the OMBExcellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate security-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Agency Security clearance (US citizenship required)Preferred Qualifications:CISSP, CISM, Cloud architecture certification (Azure Preferred), or other relevant certificationsKnowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and experience in implementing Zero Trust principlesExperience in incident response and management, including coordination with external stakeholdersProficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to enhance security operationsKCO1701#LI-MA1
