Overview
Lutron has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, highly technical experienced .NET Desktop Application Software Engineer. You will be working on the Windows application we deploy to program and startup all our systems! In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Mentor junior engineers as they start their career with usDive technically deep in on one of software platformsCollaborate with our Product Managers, Software Architects, and Functional Area Owners and other parts of our company to develop solutions to solve problemsDesire to research emerging technologies to improve our software architectureTypical Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Implement the solution, unit-tests, and integration tests with multiple developersDevelop customer requirements with appropriate stakeholdersCreate system and software design documentationWork with senior engineers to review solutionsResolve technical issues, reported bugs and field issues in a timely mannerIdentify and cleanup technical debtQualifications
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software EngineeringMinimum, cumulative GPA 3.0 for all degrees earned5+ years of professional industry experienceComputer Science Fundamentals including Object Oriented Principles and Design PatternsFluent with C#/.NET with ideally experience developing WPF applicationsThe ideal candidate would have:
Experience with SQL or other relational databasesFamiliarity with Agile Principles, include SAFeExperience with BitBucket, Jira, ConfluenceThe heart of software development at Lutron starts with these core principles:
