GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Sales Territory Manager will be the face of Seal Bond in the Construction Industry in their defined geographic territory. This position will be responsible for championing Seal Bond as the preferred choice for construction adhesives and sealants. Must have ability to grow sales by networking at all levels of the construction industry including distributors, contractors, and specifiers. Frequent travel is required. CORE FUNCTIONS: Executes defined sales plan, strategy, and tactics toward the achievement of company sales and profit objectives. Be proficient in Salesforce CRM to use data, metrics, and reports necessary to manage territory and accounts. Track information and data related to account and contacts through Salesforce. Prepare annual sales budget and forecast. Conduct presentations, trainings, and meetings to support territory objectives. Identify potential markets, accounts, industries, and industrial distributors through studying current trends, and needs analysis; internet research of territories, markets, and businesses; create and compile lists of prospective accounts; analyze opportunities through solution selling approach. Grows assigned territory by adding new accounts and developing clear and effective selling strategies of value-added and/or cost savings features and benefits of products. Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new product sales and new opportunities. Initiate new sales contacts with prospective accounts through cold-calling, online networking, email or other; building and developing long-term business relationships; qualifying potential customers and growing existing business within the assigned territory. Contributes to the outstanding reputation of the company by always putting the customer first; treating other employees with respect and dignity; responding quickly to requests and needs of customers; conducting business with the highest integrity. Manages customer issues by providing solution driven options; helps support and retain accounts that are at risk. Fosters an environment of collaboration and a team approach to problem solving. Develops strong key decision maker relationships. Builds strong partner relationships with key accounts, contacts, and businesses. Provides consistent, concise, accurate internal and external communications. Demonstrates a commitment to the industry staying educated on new regulations, innovative product solutions, application equipment, and market trends. Travel by car or plane to see customers in person. Travel approximately 50% of the time. Attending seminars, conferences, and trade shows as necessary. Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Must possess 3-5 years of relevant sales experience selling adhesive, sealant, and coating solutions OR selling other products into the construction market. A post-secondary degree is preferred. Must possess an entrepreneurial and a service-first mindset. Demonstrated technical aptitude for taking charge and solving problems; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach). Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess proficient reporting skills and have meticulous attention to detail. Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and CRM software.
