Overview: The I&C Supervisor will oversee instrumentation and controls activities for a power plant. This role involves site oversight of maintenance activities, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to engineering specifications. The IC Supervisor will lead a team of technicians and also be responsible for training on new systems to ensure quality across the team. This candidate should will work with the operations and maintenance leadership to maintain legacy and upgraded equipment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and monitor I&C installation and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with requirements, quality standards, and applicable codes.Collaborate with contractors to review deliverables, installation methods, and work progress.Participate in site safety oversight, inspections, and walk-downs to ensure a safe work environment.Support coordination with grid operators and verify communication platforms for electrical and control systems.
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of experience in construction, installation, and commissioning of I&C systems for industrial projects, preferably power or utility stations.Strong knowledge of installation methods for instrumentation, electrical systems, and field equipment.Familiarity with control systems used in power plants (e.g., turbines, boilers, HRSGs, etc.).Advanced knowledge of standards, codes, and best practices for I&C systems.Excellent communication and organizational skills.
