A position for a recent graduate wishing to gain hands-on experience in cancer research. We offer advanced professional training in basic and translational cancer research within an academic laboratory environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or Cellular Biology. - Some previous laboratory experience in academia is desired. - Good organization skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task. - Passion for personal development in a research environment.
Description of Duties :
The selected candidate will join a laboratory of basic and translational cancer research, receive training, and assist the PI in various research projects. The position requires: - Perform in vitro experiments using techniques including, but not limited to aseptic cell culture, molecular cloning, RNA isolation and PCR, western blotting and microscopy. - Perform in vivo experiments using mouse models of cancer. - Obtain, analyze, and carefully record experimental data. - Write reports and present experimental results. - Maintain laboratory supply inventory, centralized files, and records.
Salary Range: $18-23/hr.
