**Indy Parenteral Manufacturing (IPM)**

is a key organization within Lilly's Global Parenteral Product Manufacturing network. It is responsible for producing semi-finished commercial and clinical parenteral drug product materials. IPM also manages commercialization activities, linking Lilly's PR&D activities to commercial manufacturing in preparation for new parenteral product launches.

The Site Procurement team provides both strategic and tactical sourcing support for direct production material sourcing needs from IPM's third party supplier network, which are required to support the manufacturing operations for IPM.

**Position Overview:**

The Associate Director for IPM Site Procurement is responsible for establishing and driving site-level sourcing strategies across all direct production material spend categories. This role aligns with the IPM Site, Global Manufacturing Procurement, Global Materials Strategy, and Manufacturing Finance leadership teams. This role will lead the Site Procurement team to develop a comprehensive understanding of IPM's business operations, ensuring maximum results for IPM's production material needs.

The Associate Director position is pivotal in fostering partnerships across the team, including both exempt and non-exempt Site Procurement members, and key IPM core business partners such as IPM Site Supply Chain, Operations, TSMS, Quality, and other cross-functional Materials Management teams. This role also strengthens business relationships between IPM and its third-party production material partners. The focus of this position is on achieving operational excellence at IPM, ensuring the reliability of the supply chain for all production materials, and driving opportunities to enhance team productivity and value.

Additionally, the Associate Director is responsible for setting goals and expectations for the Site Procurement team, including the design of effective strategies, the achievement of annual savings targets (set by Global Manufacturing Procurement partners), operational improvement in each procurement category (Components, Consumables, Excipients), and is accountable for the Site Procurement team's overall performance. This role facilitates the Materials Management Governance Committee (MMGC) as a co-leadership operation with Site TS/MS, Site Supply Chain, Materials Management QA, QC, and Warehouse Operations cross-functional team management members. The Associate Director is responsible for supervising the performance levels for each IPM material category's Parenteral Supply Committee (PSC), in partnership with MMGC co-leaders. This role leads all IPM Plant and Site Leadership Team-level escalations for production material supply chain issues that could impact IPM's production schedule.

**Key Objectives:**

**Leadership and Management:**

Build, coach, and support a team of Procurement Associates and Buyers. Establish clear performance expectations, provide timely feedback, and support career development. Drive demand management, supplier performance, and MRP processes. Review and drive efficiency opportunities for all Site Procurement team members.

**Strategic Sourcing:**

Work with Global Procurement and vendors to implement strategies that deliver quality raw materials at the right quantities and times, ensuring value for IPM.

**PSC Support:**

Ensure consistency across Parenteral Supplier Committees and support partnerships with broader Network governance groups. Facilitate materials management governance discussions. Assure detailed and complete communication of procurement strategies, projects, metrics and actions to our business partners (Company Procurement, Global Supply Chain, Global Materials Management, Finance). Facilitate team meetings to ensure procurement is aligned with and achieving strategies and objectives.

**Performance Monitoring:**

Provide monthly MRP metrics and supplier performance updates. Track key performance indicators and improve procurement business processes. Manage Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory (SMOI) items.

**Cross-functional Collaboration:**

Lead meetings to agree on global and site-level strategies. Foster relationships within the IPM site and with the Global Procurement team. Influence and lead materials projects to drive supply chain security and create savings. Assure effective communication of strategies, projects, metrics and actions to our business partners.

**Driving Value:**

Achieve Global Procurement savings targets and maintain visibility in network-level savings tracking. Review SMOI reports and implement loss reduction initiatives.

**Administrative Requirements:**

Ensure compliance with safety and training requirements, including data integrity processes. Drive diversity initiatives within vendor spend.

**Safety Focus:**

Ensure a safe working environment through required safety training and monitoring compliance.

**Basic Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ Minimum of 5 years purchasing, Supply Chain, or pharma manufacturing related experience

+ Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

**Additional Information:**

+ This position is located at LTC-South

+ Onsite presence of 80% or more is required for engagement with supported IPM business partners.

+ Work outside of normal core business hours may be required at times.

+ Individual must be able to comply with and enforce all building gowning (if applicable), safety and SOP requirements.

+ Some allergens are present in the parenteral plant. Exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position.

+ Some travel, domestic and international, may be required (≤ 10% annually)
