Position Summary
Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo®, Nestl Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies®, and Nestl Purina Veterinary Diets®. We also do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Situated just 25 miles from the factory, the city of Lincoln offers convenience to many of our associates who prefer the amenities of larger city living. They embrace the short commute from Lincoln to the quainter city of Crete, where our factory thrives.
As a Senior HR Generalist, you will be responsible for assisting the HR Manager with planning, administering and implementing policies regarding labor/employee relations, compensation, performance management, policy interpretation, workforce planning, human resources investigations, recruiting, leave management, employment law, training and development and HR administrative processes.
Support HR Department goals driving excellence in people processesAssist with employee and labor relations activities in the factory; investigations, corrective actions, performance management, engagement and people planning, and diversity and inclusion efforts.Facilitate, advice and counsel in legal compliance issues, including OFCCP, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA and unemploymentAssist Training Specialist in development and delivery of training programs for HR systems for all levels of the facilityPartner in recruiting/staffing activities to find and select top talent for open positionsAssist with performance evaluations, development plans and succession planningOversee the attendance program, administration of attendance related disciplinary action, and all leave related systems and activityAssume all other duties as assigned by ManagerRequirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required3+ years of human resources / employee relations experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, military or related environment.Other
Labor relations experience in a manufacturing and union environment strongly preferred.Bilingual Spanish / English preferredThe approximate pay range for this position is $75,000.00 to $116,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
