Title: Modernization Systems Analyst Location: Lansing, MI (2-days onsite, 3-days remote Hybrid schedule) Note: This role is NOT open to C2C candidates The Systems (Technical) Analyst will work with ORS Development and Operations Teams to analyze current system architecture and research emerging technologies, system changes, prepare for specifications, configure software, program code evaluation, and conduct testing. The Systems Analyst will lead and manage the design, implementation, and delivery of system and software architecture designs, strategies, and quality assurance plans. They will design, prototype, develop, and implement systems to achieve business results for the client. Experienced experts, able to lead and deliver technical documentation of solutions using object-oriented, service-oriented, and n-tier architecture are ideal candidates for this role. The Systems Analyst will document both state and industry best practices for software engineering. They will lead in the development and documentation of long-term technology strategy and planning for the entire organization, leveraging existing and acquiring new resources. They will lead and actively participate in project teams’ business by documenting technical requirements in alignment with business needs and requirements, and performing analysis, design, development, integration, and maintenance of the ORS technical ecosystem. This position supports the ORS Clarety application, the Employer Self Service (ESS) application, State Account applications, and the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management system. Position Qualifications: Strong, senior Java development experience (to read/write code as part of the System Analyst role) Ability to write quality technical specifications, including a familiarity with Swagger Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, and WebSphere development technologies; experience with ASP.Net, .Net 6.0, or the latest version, and/or the flexibility to work with other technologies (i.e., Angular, React, etc.) preferred Experience with design patterns and organizing algorithms Experience in designing and implementing Java MVC frameworks (Struts MVC), ORM tools (Hibernate), Java Script, Web Services, and EJB Experience in developing systems with Microsoft SQL Server (SQL 2016 or higher), and experience writing Structured Query Language (SQL) and stored procedures Experience performing analysis and requirements gathering with customers Experience with both web-based and client server-based systems architecture Experience with Object Oriented Analysis, design, and programming Experience with application and database development and access methods Experience with systems development methodology utilized in the development of new systems and enhancements; Agile experience preferred Experience with Corticon Rules Engine technology Experience with WebSphere Liberty Experience with Git Experience with Content Management systems (e.g. Filenet) Experience with micro service and cloud-based deployment Experience with Junit, Selenium, and Cucumber Experience with Maven Experience with Security Frameworks, JWT, Oauth, Spring Boot, and Batch Framework Experience with OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes Experience with Azure DevOps and Jenkins Experience creating business process models within process modeling methodology frameworks Experience using Visio and process modeling software, such as Rational Rose, UML Diagrams, or another related tool Knowledge of Web Services, process automation, batch operations, APIs, and Cloud/Gov Cloud Ability to prepare detailed written instructions and technical documentation using industry best practices; familiarity with documentation standards preferred Ability to work and communicate well with all levels of IT project stakeholders Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines and diagnose and resolve complex problems quickly Note: This role is NOT open to C2C candidates
