This is a rare opportunity to run the newly renovated Nissan of Silver Spring. This particular area is a blossoming market for the Nissan brand and Jim Coleman Automotive looks to grow its market share in the Silver Spring area with the leadership of a new GM.Jim Coleman Automotive is a 3rd generation family-owned dealership. The Coleman family has been selling and servicing cars in the Washington-Metropolitan, Bethesda, and Baltimore areas since the 1950s. We are a local leader in automotive retail, looking to add qualified professionals to our team. Forecast, plan, execute and achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives monthly and annuallyEnsure execution of all inventory and operational standardsPrepare and administer an annual operating budget for the dealershipWork with the service director and parts manager to ensure a timely turnaround of all customer work, internal jobs, parts needs, forecasting monthly goals and achieving gross profit goals for both departmentsHandle and resolve customer complaints in all dealership departmentsMotivate, train, develop and reward employeesCoach sales consultants and sales managers on best practices for closing sales deals, providing top CSI and overall sales performanceAssist with closing dealsProvide and maintain a safe workplace and environment for employees and customersParticipate in the development and execution of compensation plansOversee and be actively involved in all activities occurring in the showroomManage the CRM and set the standard of utilizationPlan and lead sales meetings, and attend companywide meetings as requiredPartner with the marketing team to strategize on monthly advertising plans to achieve sales goalsBe involved and utilize the digital retailing toolsManage and work with third-party vendors and OEM regional management teamsPartner with recruiting team to strategize and find exceptional talentCommunicate all business goals and needs to the appropriate team membersBe customer focused, team oriented and passionate about leading teamsOther duties assigned by managementYour Skills & Qualifications:
Track record of managing teams, motivating, and developing into leadershipAbility to motivate all departments in the dealershipAbility to recruit, select, train, hire and develop quality team membersAbility to forecast monthly sales goals and manage P/LAbility to lead change managementExperience with Reynolds, eLeads, xTime, vAuto, etc. Preferred, but not requiredStrong technical aptitude is preferredProven track record of growing variable operations net profit and unit sales volumeComplete understanding of how to desk subprime car deals and primeMust be able to read and understand manufacture statements, F&I statements, and financial statementsMust have 7 years of prior automotive career experience as a sales consultant, F&I manager, used car manager and GSM requiredPrevious automotive General Manager experience 2 years preferred but not required. Willing to consider a strong GSM looking to make the transition to a General Manager role.Experience with import brands preferred but not requiredMust be able to manage in a fast-paced work environmentBenefits:
