Job ID: 2836503 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.About the Role:AWS is looking for a Sales Compensation Specialist to enable data driven decisions, improve insights, reporting, lead high-visibility projects, and manage key annual planning and in-year projects at AWS. We are especially looking for builders – people who understand what it takes to transform a function and know how to implement scalable solutions and mechanisms to serve a rapidly growing and dynamic team. This role impacts every seller and requires strong collaboration with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will excel in written and verbal communication, data analysis, modeling, and process improvements.Key Job Responsibilities
Partner across teams and sales leaders to support annual and in-year incentive plan outcomes.Conduct data driven compensation effectiveness to support GTM plan.Simulate, forecast compensation scenarios for annual planning and in-year deliberations.Review, design and recommend plan mechanics that encourage sales performance.Cost and administer in-plan and above-plan incentives (e.g., SPIF, MBO, KSO, Quotas).Support financial budgeting and forecasting processes across total portfolio.Generate reporting and insights to present sales compensation results/outcomes.Support functional teams across sales planning, compensation, quota, policy and operations.Function as a subject matter expert on all sales planning and compensation outcomes.About the Team
The Global Sales Compensation (GSC) team is a vital partner to our global sales organization. We lead the design, administration and continual optimization of incentive plans that motivate our field teams. As AWS continues its rapid growth, this team plays an important role in scaling processes, enabling intelligent outcomes in support of thousands of sellers across numerous industries, geographies, and product lines.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of sales compensation, sales operations, finance or equivalent experience.5+ years’ experience in data modeling, visualization and/or statistical forecasting using software packages such as SQL, R, Python or equivalent.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (Macros, Pivots, Lookups, Arrays).5+ years’ experience working in a large or highly matrixed organization, preferably in the technology industry.3+ years project or program leadership/management experience or equivalent.3+ years delivering data analytics projects from concept to deployment.Experience presenting to senior leadership.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
