Physical Therapy Assistant needed for acute hospital setting in Boston, MA!
13 weeks 40hr Days M W F 8a-4:30p T TH 10:30a-7p. Req Exp: 2yrs of PTA experience with 1 year in the acute care environment Pref Exp: Familiarity in working with pt in a fast paced hospital setting ICU exp working with diverse pt populations EPIC Req Certs: MA PTA licensure CPR Dept Details: IP Rehab is made up of PT and OT. We provide coverage throughout IP floors. Pt seen include birth - elderly can have varying impairments related to musculoskeletal neuro cardiopulmonary post-surgical diagnoses. Must be familiar with the acute care hospital setting have excellent pt handling skills transfer techniques good communicator comfortable working with other members of the team i.e. nursing MD Case management strong time management skills self-directed flexible able to multitask. Goal productivity is 6 hours in an 8-hour day. Assistants usually manage a patient list of 8-10 pt and are usually able to see between 7-9 pt.
