We are currently seeking a full-time Unpaid Claims Accounts Receivable Representative to join our Business Office. Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. is a team of mental health professionals that specialize in psychiatric evaluations, clinical social work, and family therapy. We are committed to helping patients in our community who are experiencing personal, emotional, marriage, family, or psychological problems. Founded in 1991, we offer an intensive outpatient chemical dependency program, psychological testing, and behavioral health and medication management services.

In this role, you would be responsible for facilitating the timely billing and collections process of claims through follow-up insurance companies, providers, and the billing and insurance team.
Pay rate:
$19.00 per hour
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Job Duties:
Follow up on unpaid claims for each insurance assigned.Must investigate each claim thoroughly and resolve any issues relating to the denied claim.Resubmit claims to insurance companies and/or appeal when necessary.Communicate with insurance companies for unpaid, denied, or rejected claims.Resolve inquiries from Providers, Patient Financial Services, Insurance Team, etc.in a timely manner.Maintain an excellent understanding of insurance guidelines, billing rules, and how to read an EOB.Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Recognize trends and patterns with insurance companies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must be flexible and able to multi-task throughout the day.Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with insurance company guidelines and/or billing rules.Detail oriented, strong problem solver; maintains a positive attitude.Computer Experience required, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook.Excellent Organizational skills.High school graduate or equivalent.
