City Experiences is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our Human Resources operations.
About You:
This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.
About the Opportunity:
The HR Generalist Hybrid role primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the HR Manager and leaders across our organization to plan, source, interview and hire top talent. They will take ownership to lead local and regional talent sourcing, recruiting and support onboarding of new team members. In addition to this, they will work in conjunction with human resources and operational leaders, supporting day-to-day activities of the Human Resource department with a hands-on approach, assist in delivering HR (Human Resources) services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success; as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Recruitment Strategies
Support and advise hiring managers on job descriptions to ensure they are tailored to attract a diverse pool of applicants and accurately reflect the role
Utilize various sourcing methods, including social media, job boards and career fairs
Build relationships with local educational institutions and community organizations to create a talent pipeline
Managing employment agencies and external recruiters
Candidate Management
Conduct candidate sourcing, screening and interview processes
Perform background checks and other onboarding processes
Maintain and update candidate databases for efficient recruitment processes
Process Improvement
Monthly reporting on KPI's to enable data driven decisions to improve recruitment across the business units
Identify and address bottlenecks in the recruitment process
Partner with the technical team to explore automation opportunities for increased efficiency
Regularly review and update recruitment policies and procedure.
Leadership support
Responsible for training all hiring managers on recruitment processes and ensuring these processes are adhered to
Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation and enforcing regulations with leadership and hiring managers
Advising managers as the subject matter expert in recruiting
Coaching key business leaders on people strategy and staffing needs
Onboarding and Offboarding
Lead the employee onboarding process and identify opportunities to streamline
Facilitate and assist with new hire orientation
Handle employee exit processes, including exit interviews and offboarding procedures
Maintain a talent pool of former seasonal workers for future hiring needs
Administrative Support
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies
Provide documentation to payroll
Organize and provide Sea Time letters for marine crew
Organize and manage candidates' data in internal databases
HR Operational Support
Support HR Managers in general day to day HR processing tasks
Support employee relations by note taking or conducting investigation meetings
Assist in the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs
Strategic Support
Support implementation of HR projects and initiatives
Generate reports and analyze HR data to support decision making

Requirements & Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in talent management and attraction or 3 years in an HR generalist role with a proven track record of sourcing and recruiting talent
Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in industries with seasonal hiring needs
Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience
Experience managing multiple high-volume roles simultaneously
Knowledge and proficiency of HRIS and ATS platform
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Proven experience in developing recruitment strategies
Familiarity with local employment laws and regulations
Familiar with Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to travel as needed

Fluent in English; fluency in Spanish a plus
