This role will be a critical partner to the VP of Marketing, responsible for driving the operational excellence, planning, and performance management of the marketing organization. You will oversee the marketing operations strategy, ensure the seamless execution of internal planning and external marketing programs, and optimize cross-functional collaboration to deliver against business goals. Additionally, you will play a key role in long-term planning, resource allocation, budget management, and process optimization. This position will directly manage one marketing operational and analytics professional and is expected to scale the operational infrastructure as the team grows. Push the team to think deeply and across disciplines when forming hypotheses or solutions.Build and maintain operational workflows, tools, and dashboards to streamline cross-functional collaboration.Manage the development, tracking, and reporting of marketing KPIs, ensuring data-driven insights inform decision-making.Collaborate closely with teams including brand, growth, product marketing, analytics, and finance to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.Possess subject matter expertise in marketing, having worked in a marketing operations capacity at consumer tech preferred.
Strategic Planning & Resource Allocation:Drive the annual and quarterly marketing planning process, including budget forecasting, capacity planning, and strategic goal setting.Ensure effective resource allocation and prioritize key marketing initiatives based on business needs and opportunities.Support the VP of Marketing with long-term planning, including developing frameworks for team growth, budget expansion, and campaign prioritization.
Budget & Financial Management:Oversee the marketing budget, tracking expenditures and ensuring effective budget management in alignment with business priorities.Be the main marketing point of contact with finance to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, budget forecasts, and reconciliations.Drive process improvements to optimize spend and maximize ROI on marketing investments.
Team Leadership & Development:Manage one direct report, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing.Collaborate with HR and the VP of Marketing to support talent development and team growth strategies.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence:Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing, measurement read-outs, processes, tools, and systems.Build scalable processes that support the team’s rapid growth and changing needs, ensuring smooth operations and minimized bottlenecks.Act as the primary liaison with external vendors and technology partners to ensure the success of marketing operations systems.
Qualifications + Experience:10+ years of experience in marketing operations, planning, or related functions within a fast-paced, high-growth organization.Demonstrated ability to manage direct reports and influence across teams.Proven experience in strategic planning, budget management, and process optimization within a marketing function.Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of marketing technology (e.g., CRM, automation tools) and analytics platforms, with a focus on improving operational efficiency.Financial Acumen: Experience managing marketing budgets, including forecasting, reporting, and optimization.Analytical Skills: Data-driven mindset with experience in reporting, KPIs, and marketing performance management.Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across teams to build alignment and drive results.Adaptability: Comfort working in a matrixed, dynamic, fast-moving environment with an ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in FinTech, payments, or consumer technology industries.MBA or advanced degree in business or marketing a plus.Additional Job Description:Subsidiary:
