Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Data Science and Analytics within the Newell Integrated Supply Chain Operations team. The role will be highly visible with impact across all Newell Divisions globally.Responsibilities:
Lead initiatives that drive large scale impact across the enterprise supply chainLeads a team of Sr. Analysts and BI EngineersDrives technical projects with multiple stakeholdersPlan, develop, and execute Business Intelligence workstreams that align with the enterprise supply chain strategic goalsEngage with key business stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity and develop requirementsDevelop business requirements for a Supply Chain data repository to consolidate multiple ERP data sources into a comprehensive source for analyticsPartner with the IT organization on the development and implementation of data driven tools across a global supply chainDevelop and implement diagnostic tools for use by business users to identify performance opportunities and root cause for action planningDevelop and execute initiatives to promote data democratization that align with the overall company strategy of fostering data-driven decision making.Contribute to development of enterprise big data infrastructure using Apache Spark to extract, transform, load, and model terabytes of raw system dataQualifications:
A degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, Management, Operations, or a related field is required.5+ years of work experience in supply chain analytics (or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply complex technical skills)3+ years of people management experienceDatabase (SQL Server) and data transformation skills requiredData visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, supply chain maps, etc.) requiredFamiliarity with planning, forecasting, transportation, inventory management, and/or strategic sourcing; and related systemsExperience in industrial engineering, operations research, business analytics, data science, or supply chain management is a plusSelf-aware communicator who can explain technical concepts in terms that the business understandsExperience serving as a lead and facilitator on BI and data management projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven skills to work effectively across internal functional areas in ambiguous situationsExceptional listening skills.
