PURPOSE:
This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing all production and facility equipment as well as performing project work.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
Excellent troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for production machinery and support equipment.
Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
Possess good organizational and communication skills.
Team-oriented, self-motivated, safety and quality conscious; requiring minimal supervision.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Can operate basic shop equipment (hoist, forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
Able to work in confined areas, climb ladders, and work at heights of 50 feet.
Able to distinguish colors used in color-coding wires and electronic components.
Strength in welding, fabricating, and pipe fitting
Ability to install and set up AC and DC drives
Be willing to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.
Be able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED plus 2 years’ related experience and/or training
Strong computer literacy with experience in operating HMI’s (touch screens)
Experience with SLC, Micro Logiz, Logix 500, Logix 5000, and RSLinx
Familiarity with NEC (national electric code) as it applies to industrial applications
