The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, implementation, and management of the information technology (IT) services and systems for the institution. The CIO oversees the IT budget, staff, policies, and projects, and ensures alignment with the institution's mission, vision, and goals. The CIO also fosters collaboration and innovation among the IT units and other stakeholders, and promotes best practices and standards for IT governance, security, and service delivery. Responsibilities

Develop and execute the IT strategic plan and roadmap, in consultation with the senior leadership, faculty, staff, and students. Manage the IT budget and resources, and optimize the allocation and utilization of IT assets and services. Lead and supervise the IT staff, and provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Establish and maintain effective IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks, and ensure adherence to relevant policies, regulations, and standards. Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and services, and ensure reliability, availability, scalability, and security. Monitor and evaluate the performance and quality of the IT services and systems, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Facilitate communication and collaboration among the IT units and other departments, and foster a culture of innovation and customer service. Assess and anticipate the current and future IT needs and trends, and identify and implement appropriate solutions and opportunities. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers, and negotiate contracts and service level agreements. Represent the institution in relevant IT forums, networks, and associations, and promote the institution's IT vision and achievements. Qualifications

Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 10 years of progressive IT leadership and management experience in higher education or similar complex environment. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in IT strategic planning, budgeting, governance, security, and service delivery. Experience building high functioning teams. Strong technical skills and expertise in IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and services, and familiarity with emerging IT trends and technologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, and ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders. Strong leadership, team-building, and problem-solving skills, and ability to inspire, motivate, and empower IT staff and partners. High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards, and commitment to the institution's mission, vision, and values. Experience with Higher Ed ERP Systems, Anthology experience a major plus.
