As a Program Manager within the Regional Maxima team, you will operate within a robust and impactful team focused on managing the customer and internal growth within our regions. You will be instrumental in working across the company to ensure the health of our Commercial Cloud expansion exceeds customer expectations. Your pivotal role encompasses refining our region management process to prioritize our customers so that they can grow across all Azure Regions and communicating the strategy across Microsoft.
In the role you will:
Forge and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders and partners across the CO+I organization, Azure Core Compute Capacity Teams as well as Business Planning, Azure Marketing and in some cases, Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS). Leverage your business acumen and technical expertise to bolster ongoing customer engagement (internal and external) guaranteeing that our region strategy resonates with customer expectations and that all stakeholders understand the risk of non-performance. Exercise relentless curiosity to uncover and implement process enhancements, thereby fortifying our governance frameworks as we ambitiously expand our commercial cloud footprint amidst the dynamic landscapes of commercial and AI architectures. Collaboration: Strengthens interdepartmental relationships within CO+I and with key stakeholders, promoting a unified approach to region expansion that embodies our One Microsoft ethos. Critical Thinking: Analyzes and asks insightful questions across the multiple teams that have inputs into capacity, understanding both internal and external growth assumptions and challenge assumptions/inputs that don’t align. Process Enhancement: Utilizes insights from engagements and root cause analyses to refine and automate processes, ensuring adherence to our high standards and driving ongoing enhancements. Long-Term Planning: Champions long-term regional health initiatives by applying Regional Maxima principles, focusing on sustained customer success and operational excellence. Stakeholder Management: Aligns internal and external stakeholders with the Regional Maxima Strategy, with clear and actionable next steps. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 1+ year(s) technical product/service/project, software development or software engineering experience. 1+ year(s) experience working with cross-team stakeholders in a matrixed organization. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year(s) experience in cloud operations or cloud services. 1+ year(s) experience in hyperscale cloud data center and network architecture. 1+ year(s) experience in planning cloud specific infrastructure. 5+ years experience leading and managing a business-critical function. Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
