Come join us.We're looking for a Senior Manager of Compensation, who will be a key leader within the People Team at Flexport. As the Head of Compensation at Flexport, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a forward-thinking, global compensation strategy. You will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive compensation programs, ensuring they are equitable, competitive, and aligned with both company values and business objectives. Your work will directly support Flexport's ability to attract, retain, and motivate top talent in a fast-evolving market.You will:
Oversee global compensation programs (broad-base, sales incentive, equity programs, and recognition) in line with business needs and values.Provide flexibility and local customization to account for cultural, legal, and market differences.Partner with the Head of People to manage all executive compensation initiatives, including close partnership with external consultancy partners in preparation for and managing the deliverables of our quarterly Compensation Committee meetings.Partner with sales and sales operations leaders to assess, review, and recommend sensible sales compensation plans on a yearly basis, as well as corresponding reviewing and updating sales compensation policies.Partner with regional people business partners to ensure local intricacies, rules, and regulations are considered, assessed, and respected across compensation initiatives.Seek opportunities to improve processes and develop value-added tools to enable internal clients and optimize cost-sensitive decisions and offerings across all compensation matters.Oversee all annual and semi-annual compensation processes including the mid-year and annual pay review cycle and salary structure updates.Manage and develop a team of compensation professionals accountable for the day-to-day management and administration of Company compensation programs to ensure consistency and adoption of best practices.Collaborate with a high level of influence across functional leadership groups to ensure compensation plans and policies are developed and communicated effectively.Evaluate market dynamics and new business-driven requirements, such as market pricing pivots to address "hot" jobs in the market and create new policies and processes accordingly.
You should have:Minimum 8 plus years of broad compensation experience (broad-base, bonus, sales incentive, equity, and executive programs) with progressively increasing responsibility and complexity in a fast-paced environment - preference for experience in the technology sector.Experience in managing global or multi-region compensation initiatives and the ability to scale your thinking and expertise to support a fast-paced rapidly growing enterprise.Ability to influence and drive high-level strategic global initiatives while also being able to dive deep and work with your team at a granular level.Proven managerial experience with the capability of developing and motivating staff.Demonstrated professional business acumen, collaboration, and relationship building that translates short and long-term strategy into actionable and measurable plans.Strong quantitative skills including advanced Excel skills to model various compensation scenarios.Demonstrated experience of successfully executing against tight deadlines and proactive issue resolution.
