The Director of Public Relations brings with them a strong sense of responsibility, ownership and is a professional who always delivers a top-of-market experience.

The primary role of the Director of Public Relations is to execute innovative PR and publicity programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of the hotel, services and personnel. Main responsibilities include developing and executing an annual public relations plan, generating awareness of the hotel through all media outlets, and generating local awareness through hotel participation in significant community & social events. The Director of Public Relations supports group and leisure goals through targeted PR campaigns and assists in the development of all marketing and advertising initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:

The Director of Public Relations position includes but is not limited to the following duties. Other duties may be assigned:

Public Relations and Communications Develop a year-round integrated Public Relations and Communications Plan across all pillars with unique and thoughtful tactics across all PR and Comms channels. Regularly monitor Marketing Scorecard Metrics as it applies to PR and Communications and execute tactics to gain ranking. Work closely with all departments and outlets to develop new storylines. Ensure monthly posting of Press Releases to highlight and communicate our news effectively and maintain prominent engagement on our Four Seasons Press Room. Lead creation of Story Starters and ensure presence of relative team bios to generate further engagement with hotel on Four Seasons Press Room. Maintain image library to ensure the best representation of property. Identify target publications, manage media communications, develop new connections, coordinate media visits and interviews to generate ongoing coverage. Pitch and secure coverage through brand agency all-call editorial opportunities as well as B2B Communications opportunities.

Digital Marketing Oversee the hotel's digital strategy with a proactive and creative approach to all available digital and electronic marketing platforms. Design and implement innovative programs and campaigns that increase awareness of the hotel, its offerings and dynamic team. Ensure such programs align with Brand DNA and standards as well as active marketing plans and budgets, while refining programs to capitalize on opportunities. Actively co-manage FS proprietary websites, ensuring alignment with the Hotel's positioning and business objectives and creative storytelling. Ensure up-to-date information on partner and third-party websites. Plays a key role in reputation management, acting as a strategic communications advisor to management by keeping track of public attitudes, developing key messages and managing potential issues and organize responses.

Social Media Oversee FS main Social Media channels and assist in curating and creating relevant and engaging content, telling a story consistent with our Hotel and Four Seasons Brand DNA and standards. Oversee Proof and Talavera Social Media Channels. Leverage social media channels to amplify key messages and activities, elevating the importance of search as well as strategic and creative communication. Pursue and coordinate social media influencer visits and utilize available programs to integrate proper User Generated Content.

What we are looking for:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum of three years of experience in social media, digital marketing, public relations and related industries, preferably within hospitality. Excellent writing, presentation and communications skills, with a strong sense of quality and a creative mindset. Photography skills and an eye for aesthetic. Attention to detail and organization. Media relations experience. Demonstrated knowledge of mobile, emerging and social media applications. Knowledge of production methods in graphic arts and collateral. Ability to multi-task effectively, managing multiple projects while being cognizant of deadlines and priorities. Ability to manage third-party agencies, partners, and vendors. Computer savvy with Microsoft Office and various design programs.
