General SummaryAs a senior level executive, this team member works with the President/CEO, Senior Vice President/CFO and Board of Directors to develop and define the strategic vision of the Credit Union. This position is responsible for creating the strategic direction and coordinating the execution of the strategic objectives of the Credit Union's consumer, mortgage, student and business lending services.Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesServes as an executive team member in the overall management of the Credit Union. Keeps management abreast of current financial service industry conditions and developments and how they may impact the Credit Union.Works with the President/CEO and Executive Management Team in defining the Credit Union's strategic financial goals. Develops overall lending strategies and effective lending planning to ensure overall soundness of the Credit Union's loan portfolio. Responsible for loan portfolio quality and profitability.Supports the preparation and execution of the annual budget and strategic plan. Provides routine reports on the Credit Union's lending performance. Directs preparation of the Credit Union's lending goals.Ensures that lending activities are conducted in accordance with established policy guidelines and standards, and are properly documented. Conducts periodic reviews of existing policies to ensure effectiveness. Ensures that policies are updated and are in accordance with evolving regulations, legal requirements, and industry trends.Develops and oversees loan policies, products and strategies and serves as a resource in all aspects of lending, including portfolio management and analysis. Responsible for new product and service development, profitability analysis and risk tolerance, establishing growth strategies and new business development, in concert with the Credit Union's strategic plan.Ensures the effective performance of lending related services. Ensures that members are adequately educated and counseled through the lending process and that approval policies and procedures are non-discriminatory. Identify innovative solutions to address emerging threats to service delivery.Directs, motivates, measures and coaches the activities of direct reports. Decides promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, performance improvement plans, salary increases and terminations within Credit Union policy and with the approval of the President/CEO as applicable.Maintains knowledge of compliance issues including but not limited to BSA, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act, lending and operational law and regulations, developing policies and procedures as necessary for BOD and Executive Management review and approval.Complies with all applicable Rules, Regulations and Statutes of the NCUA and other appropriate governing bodies to include but not limited to: the Credit Union Bylaws, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Lending Act, and Fair Credit Reporting.Performs other duties as assigned.Experience and SkillsEducation:

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required; Master's degree preferred.Experience:

Fifteen (15) years' of progressively responsible lending experience in a financial institution. Three (3) years of Chief Lending Officer experience preferred.Skills:

Must have excellent knowledge of financial institution law and regulations as well as computer applications proficiency including the Microsoft Office suite - Excel, Word and PowerPoint (at minimum).Communication:

Must have exceptional written and oral communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills. The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions.Supervisory:
