Digital Producer IPosition Description
The RAND office of Communications and External Affairs (CEA) has an exciting opportunity in its Research Editorial and Production group for an early career digital communications professional to support RAND's mission to help improve policy and decision-making through research and analysis.Working within the Digital Production team and with the Manager, Digital Production, the Digital Producer will create and maintain digital and web content in support of RAND's communications and outreach goals. Primary duties include the following:Create and manage webpages in coordination with internal clients.Support digital project teams in creating new project sites and digital assets in adherence with budget, schedule, and design standards.Draft, edit, and post web-optimized short-form content in compliance with RAND policies and editorial standards.Support email and social media campaigns by preparing and sending approved content.All these activities require the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in CEA and the broader RAND organization to promote RAND's standards for high-quality and objective research communications.Qualifications
Required
Prior experience in creating and maintaining digital communications content.Demonstrated knowledge of HTML and CSS, content management systems, and image editing tools.Familiarity with digital best practices, including search engine optimization, code validation, and writing for the web.Project management skills.Proven ability to take initiative and learn new skills and software.Established ability to write and communicate clearly, including basic copyediting and content creation skills.Preferred
Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Adobe Acrobat Pro and Photoshop), Workfront, Salesforce, and Predictive Response.Experience in developing digital content according to best practices for accessibility.Background in writing for the web, particularly in science or research communication.Experience in project management with cross-disciplinary teams.Education Requirements
A bachelor's degree is required for this position.Experience
One to two years of relevant experience.Location
This position will be located at one of the following RAND offices: Arlington, Va.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Boston, Ma.; or Santa Monica, Calif. This position is eligible for RAND's hybrid work environment, which enables a blend of on-site and remote work. Some onsite presence will be required to meet business needs, including on an ad-hoc basis; onsite needs will vary from month to month.Special Note

$62,700 - $103,800RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity. The salary range includes base pay plus RAND's sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken).
