$100,000 - $125,000 (Depending on Experience) + BonusResponsibilities:Work with Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and other departments in specifying and recommending any equipment or facilities revisions or modifications to extrusion automation equipment.Establish and maintain a program for continuous improvement of plant efficiency, productivity, and product quality.Perform functional analysis of the automation machines.Investigate methods of integration between old and new extrusion and calendaring operations and modify and/or optimize existing automations.Analyze existing European-based engineering and design software and hardware equipment, recommend various software and hardware upgrades and installations, and coordinate the re-installation of defective systems and upgrades.Automation project management and functional analysis of processing equipment and extrusion and calendaring processes.Design of electrical cabinets and development of complex PLC programs (Siemens and allen Bradley platform).Integration of multiple automation systems and components like PLCs, drives, supervision, computers and installation and startup of AC and DC drivesTemperature regulation and speed regulation systems applied to extrusion and calendaring processes and troubleshooting of automation and computer systemsExperience and knowledge with Microsoft operating systems and development of operator panels interfaces (Siemens platform)Development of supervision tools on WinCC, WinCCflex, Intouch, Protool, RSview softwares and electric and electronic safety systems applied to extrusion and calendaring systemsComprehension of all relevant quality management system factors and documents that refer to the job category and the awareness by the individual of their relevance and importance. That includes but is not limited to, understanding of the Quality Policy, how the individual’s performance contributes to meeting of the Critical Success Factors and specific job category or position related procedures.Requirements:Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar related field.3+ years’ experience in an engineering position associated with manufacturing, or assembling in construction, fabrication, manufacturing, and assembling practices and methods.Experience with alteration of electro-mechanical equipment and mechanisms.Good Knowledge in automation integration, electrical box components, and system configurations.Computer knowledge, 2D CAD and 3D Modeling and proficient with Microsoft Office software.Experience with project management tools, decision making, risk management, and conflict resolution.Plastic extrusion, calendaring, and winding knowledge are a plus.Excellent communications skill both verbal and written are requiredBenefits:Full Benefits: (Medical, Dental, Vision)401K + MatchingPTOBonus
