External Communications and Marketing Lead to serve as a strategic leader in driving external communications and brand management for the Southern Africa team. This role will develop and execute comprehensive public relations plans, manage media relations, and provide strategic marketing support to various segments..
As an External Communications and Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for: Strategic Communications: Developing and implementing PR plans, positioning the business as a thought leader, and managing stakeholder relationships. Media Relations: Leading media outreach, handling media inquiries, and building strong relationships with journalists. Content Creation: Developing a variety of content, including press releases, media advisories, and social media posts. Digital Communications: Managing social media platforms and collaborating with the digital team on content creation. Crisis Communications: Supporting crisis response efforts and preparing senior leadership for media interactions. Analytics and Reporting: Tracking PR performance and providing insights to inform future strategies. Project Management: Overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and managing resources effectively. Marketing Communications: Supporting marketing initiatives, managing brand activities, and coordinating design and production. What are we looking for? A minimum of a Degree / NQF Level 6 qualification in Marketing/Communication At least eight (8) years experience in external communications, brand management, and project management Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) Experience in managing multiple public and private sector stakeholder interests Proven successful experience working in a collaborative and cross-functional setting Proven track record of successfully executed media strategies while working in a PR position
