The
Marketplace Café Manager
is responsible for the overall meal production and supervision of dining services personnel within the Marketplace. Manages the daily operation and of the Marketplace including cash sales, menu planning, resident seating, service and meal satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required Two years recent experience in dining services required Prior supervisory experience preferred Prior experience with computerized resident and cash accounting system preferred Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to dining services management required Previous experience in supervision of staff and demonstrated leadership skills Must relate well to employees, residents and visitors Expectations:
Responsible for meal production and distribution of food to all Marketplace customers Manages Marketplace cash sales through use of the computerized cash accounting system Coordinates Independent Living resident meal accounts with Dining Room Supervisor Responsible for or makes recommendations regarding the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, supervision and implementation corrective action for marketplace personnel Responsible for the completion of all required record keeping related to these processes At least annually, evaluates job performance of marketplace personnel Prepares Marketplace personnel schedules within budgetary guidelines, providing adequate staff to assure quality meal service Conducts regular staff meetings with all shifts for purposes of planning, coordinating and implementing policies and procedures regarding quality resident dining service Assists with the development and maintenance of Marketplace policies, procedures and objectives Assists with the creation of daily Marketplace menu specials in accordance with all applicable Presbyterian Senior Living policies/procedures and applicable state/federal regulations Assists the Director of Dining Services in the development of the annual Marketplace budget Maintains accurate daily and monthly Marketplace meal counts. Submits total to Director of Dining Services and Executive Director/Administrator, as requested Maintains Marketplace records, prepares and submits reports as required by facility policy and governmental agencies Actively participates in the dining services Quality Assurance Program Maintains a clean and sanitary work area in compliance with established guidelines Assures maintenance of a clean and sanitary work area in compliance with established guidelines though daily inspections of work areas, dining room and pantry area Enforces dining services department cleaning schedule
