Mechanical Assembly TechnicianThe Mechanical Assembly Technician will work with a team of Assembly Technicians to perform a wide variety of assembly processes, machine builds, and light machining to achieve an overall goal of providing a quality product to our customers on time with zero defects. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in mechanical machine assembly work. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, and proficiency reading blueprints are essential for this position. Mechanical Assembly TechnicianAssemble simple to complex mechanical assemblies per specification by interpreting blueprints and drawings while following manufacturing processes and proceduresIdentify proper tooling and equipment to perform assigned operationInspect parts, as necessary using the proper measuring tools (Micrometers, calipers, etc.)Teardown and crate equipment for shipmentOperate a tow motor and overhead craneAssist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by Weiss North AmericaPerform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directedDesired S k ills & Experience -
Mechanical Assembly TechnicianHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of two years of Mechanical experienceAbility to read and interpret assembly drawings and specificationsIntermediate math skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgencyEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsWell organized with an aptitude for detailsProficient PC skills in a Windows environmentExperience with using different types of pneumatic, electrical, and hand toolsAble to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40lbs on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistanceAble to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignmentsMachining and electrical experience and knowledge is a plus
