Configuration Manager

Insight Global is looking for a Configuration Manager to join one of largest DoD clients out of Warren, MI in a hybrid role. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining software configuration management environments for embedded software systems and associated engineering documentation. They will primarily be responsbile to lead the execution of Software Configuration Management (SCM) and Data Management (DM) initiatives to develop and sustain military combat vehicle software systems. That includes SCM planning, repository setup and access control, configuration identification, software configuration change controls, status accounts, auditing and software configuration release management. Around 70% of the time in this role will be spent implementing software builds and setting up DevSecOps within this engineering group. Pervious DevSecOps experience isn't necessary but is what some of these builds will be creating. The rest of the time will be spent with record keeping, documentation around builds, and any internal meetings that come up with management or other engineers. Other responsbilites include: -Develop and support Software Configuration Management Plan (SCMP) -Identify items that require control as Configuration Items (CIs) and apply appropriate naming conventions to them -Develop build scripts for the execution of SCM software builds -Establish and maintain CM repositories utilizing Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence for proper access control

$50/hr to $70/hr : Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
