Job Summary:The Cardiologist is a dynamic and flexible individual who is licensed/board certified with experience in noninvasive cardiology and adult echocardiography.This professional will play a key role in providing direct patient care and assessments and be responsible for the ongoing development and quality control of ArchWell Health's echocardiography program.Duties/Responsibilities:Provides excellent cardiovascular care in an outpatient settingManagement of chronic cardiovascular diseases including ordering appropriate imaging or lab tests and recommending treatment plans as indicated by patient's clinical needsPerform accurate interpretation of lab tests, EKG, and echocardiogramsParticipates in population management of market's membersAssists with implementation of cost reduction strategiesConsults with and coaches primary care providers about management of cardiovascular disease and best practicesReviews primary care requests for external cardiology referrals and participates in authorization with emphasis on high quality internal care providers when appropriateCoordination with Cardiologists and Clinical Leadership regarding managing day-to-day operations and participates in meetings for risk and quality management as well as improving clinical quality, efficiency, and patient and physician satisfactionParticipates in quality improvement initiatives within cardiovascular department
Required Skills/Abilities:Exceptional communication skills to facilitate patient care including ability to foster and cultivate relationships with primary care physicians, center care team members, and staffExtensive knowledge of cardiovascular disease and evidence-based practices and proceduresWell-versed in echocardiography guidelines, standards and practices as dictated by the American Society of EchocardiographyStrong analytical skills to handle complex clinical and administrative scenariosExperience with conflict management and resolutionPersonable, tactful, and professional demeanorComfortable with electronic medical record charting as well as teleconferencing including telehealth patient encountersAbility to work remotely full-time in a HIPAA-compliant setting
Education and Experience:MD or DO in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineBoard Certified in Cardiovascular DiseaseBoard Certified in Adult EchocardiographyCurrent, unrestricted, active license to practice medicineCurrent DEA registrationProficient PC skillsEmbodies and serves as a role model of ArchWell Health's Values:Be compassionateStrive for excellenceEarn trustShow respectStay resilientAlways do the right thing
