What does a Shift Supervisor - 2nd shift - ICF do? As the Full-Time Shift Supervisor for our 2nd shift ICF team at Hills & Dales Child Development Center, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of your assigned shift. Your leadership will ensure the seamless integration and monitoring of each resident's active treatment program, crafted by our interdisciplinary team. You'll direct, mentor, and develop Personal Assistants, fostering a cohesive and effective team environment.
Your responsibilities will include completing and documenting essential shift oversight tasks, implementing individualized crisis response protocols, and supporting staffing needs within the LTC Program. Additionally, you will coordinate staff schedules for medical appointments and community outings, while also providing valuable assistance to department supervisors and managers. This role offers the perfect blend of responsibility and support, allowing you to shine in a position driven by empathy, excellence, and genuine care for our residents.
What matters most To thrive as a Full-Time Shift Supervisor at Hills & Dales Child Development Center, candidates should possess a strong foundation in human services, ideally with a Bachelor's degree in the field. However, an Associate of Arts degree coupled with one year of direct care experience, or at least two years in a supervisory role, will also be considered. Demonstrated leadership abilities are essential, as you will guide and mentor a team of Personal Assistants.
It is crucial to be free from any past convictions related to child or resident abuse, reflecting a commitment to integrity and safety. Additionally, obtaining QBS Certification within six months of employment is vital for proper crisis response and management protocols. Strong interpersonal skills and a resourceful mindset will empower you to foster a supportive environment, ensuring the best possible care for each resident while cultivating a positive and energetic workplace.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
1. Free from convictions or prior employment history of child or resident abuse or dependent adult abuse
2. A Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field is preferred
an Associate of Arts degree with one-year experience in a direct care setting will be considered
or a minimum of one-year supervisory experience demonstrated leadership ability with a minimum of two years' experience in a direct care facility.
3. QBS Certification within six months.
