CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.
A Brief Overview The Human Resource Generalist works to uphold an engaging employee experience by supporting all departments and HR processes. This role takes the lead on many of the daily functions of the CGL Human Resource (HR) department including but not limited to, compliance, employee on and off boarding, documentation management, safety, report generation, administration and interpretation HR policies and practices. Will provide employee support with an eye towards process improvement.
What you will do Serves as the go-to resource for staff and management for their needs related to HR. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory HR and safety training. Maintains HR corrective action and investigation records. Reviews and approves corrective actions. Owns the onboarding processes including - ensuring timely submission of new hire paperwork, I9 and coordination of office set up for all College Park office staff. Bi-monthly new hire orientation, including ensuring orientation materials are current and engaging, check-ins with new hires and 30- and 90-day new hire surveys. Off- boarding - timely submission of paperwork, state separation notice requirement, exit interviews and surveys, quarterly turnover report data management. Participates and supports annual benefits open enrollment. Supports timely completion of the annual appraisal process. Performs routine tasks required to support leave management, benefits, payroll, training and development and occupational health and safety. Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies, procedures, and practices to maintain compliance and recommend improvements. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law. Maintains strict confidentiality in all employees related work. Maintains knowledge of State and Federal employment laws. Performs verifications of employment Verifies eligibility for transfers and promotions Supports staff appreciations and recognition programs. Under the direction of the HR Manager, participates in employee relations investigations.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Required Bachelor's Degree Business, management or related field Preferred 4-6 years minimum 3 years experience supporting HR functions or 5 years executive administrative support Required Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines. Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of staff. Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, internet, etc.). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn CGL's HRIS systems Professional Human Resources Certification Preferred Valid Driver's License Required
