SERVICENOW SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR II

Position Summary:
The ServiceNow System Administrator II is responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, installing, and/or deploying of ServiceNow out-of-the-box and custom solutions. This role works with internal customers to determine operational workflow, automation, and integration requirements which may be met by leveraging ServiceNow. This role may mentor entry level ServiceNow developers in system maintenance, development of new enhancements, code reviews, organizational change management, and project management.
Primary Functions:
Takes technical ownership, responsibility, and accountability of OrthoVirginia's single internally-facing ServiceNow platform (production and dev) containing today:
Service Portal Service Catalog and custom record producers Incident Management Problem Management Change Management Knowledge Management Project Management Timecard Management IT Operations Management (ITOM) Custom IT Asset Management workflows Custom Onboarding/Offboarding workflows Numerous inbound/outbound integrations with 3rd party systems Learning Management System (3rd party plug-in from PlatCore) MID Server Reporting and dashboards System and Patch upgrades
Works with end users and primary stakeholders to ensure ServiceNow meets the organization's business needs Serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and software vendors and consultants Performs customer-approved application build and supports ITIL change management procedures Provides support and troubleshooting to end users to meet IT Service Level Agreements for incident management Performs root cause analysis of problems and recommends steps to prevent recurrences Develops, reviews, and documents system test plans. Performs system tests. Ensures that test requirements are met. Revises/debugs software Maintains system documentation for effective backup support Communicates issues to management appropriately Ensures reporting capabilities are available to track data as requested Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
A deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform and the ServiceNow user community Be responsible for managing increasingly complex individual projects or work streams within the ServiceNow ecosystem Project management and organizational skills to communicate and follow-up effectively with project leadership, subject matter experts and external customers/vendors on project timelines and documents performance Eagerness to learn the software and increase knowledge over time while promoting it within the organization Performs complex system analysis, design, integration, testing, implementation, maintenance, and planning of assigned applications and/or projects. Assist junior staff with application configuration. Implement and develop communication plans The ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences how the system will be configured and customized Attention to detail and ability to produce quality work The ability to multi-task Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment, meet goals in timely manner and meet deadlines Ability to collaborate with team members to move ServiceNow projects and enhancements forward equally as much as the ability to work independently and make progress The ability to get things done. System administrators should know the decision-makers and when to escalate issues Ability to think critically and problem solve to find solutions to simple and complex issues Position Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years' experience in IT
• 3-5 years' experience as a ServiceNow CSA
• Strong working knowledge of application systems and analyst tools
• Deep understanding of ITIL and support organization workflows and proven ability to work on a variety of projects
Demonstrated leadership skills Certification:
This ServiceNow System Administrator II role requires an active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification (CSA). Physical Demands
The ServiceNow System Administrator II job is a Full-Time position. Occasional travel is a requirement of the position and will vary in length depending on purpose of the trip. Trips are generally planned; however, there may be times that travel is last minute. It is expected that this role will attend and actively participate in the yearly ServiceNow Knowledge conference.
