What you'll do:Under general supervision, the Licensed Electrician coordinates and conducts general electrical repair work and troubleshooting, performs preventive maintenance, installation services and construction work in accordance with safety standards and fire codes.Performs assignments in the layout, installation, repair, alteration, and maintenance of a wide variety of complex electrical equipment such as automatic controls, emergency generators, switchboards, transfer switches, lighting systems, fire alarms and smoke detection systemsAnalyzes and troubleshoots electrical problems with a wide variety of electrical equipment, replacing defective parts, reassembles effected equipment and tests for proper operation and safetyPerforms preventive maintenance as scheduled or required on all types of electrical equipment as recommended by the manufacturer and on-site safety programsMaintains necessary work records including equipment records, logs, and time sheetsReads and interprets electrical schematicsEnsures that all work meets prescribed standards of quality and ensures compliance with all laws, safety procedures, policies and codesDetects and reports to the Supervisor any unusual conditions, defective materials, faulty equipment, and equipment operating or installed incorrectlyIdentifies and communicates opportunities for improvement, cost savings, productivity/efficiency improvements and safety improvementsAssists other maintenance personnel on projects as directedMay perform other duties as assignedRequirements:What you'll need:Working knowledge of electrical systemsAbility to read and comprehend complicated blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications, codes, electrical formulas, and handbooksMust be familiar with the National Electric Codes, electrical theory, and be comfortable working with high voltage three phase circuits, generators, transformers and switchgearAbility to use various testing devices related to the electrical and mechanical tradesAbility to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft computer applications used for compiling data and work recordsExceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environmentAbility to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization in a professional, effective mannerCan lead and train apprentices in line of workIndustrial electrician: 1 year (Required)Electrical License (Required)Work authorization (Required)High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) requiredMinimum 1-year related work experience to include industrial environmentWhy Join Us?Competitive wagesOpportunity to work with a great cultureGreat Benefits - vacation, medical, dental, vision, FSA, company-provided life insurance and short-term disability, company sponsored long-term disability, job-related tuition reimbursement, 401(k) and profit sharing
