Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator

What you will doAs the Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator you will help support our chiller equipment test engineeringteam. You will work directly with test engineers, product design engineers, and labor staff to support projects within the equipment research and development test lab.
This will include projects for collecting operating data from chillers and their sub-components, improving test efficiency, reducing cost, improving data quality, continuous improvement / efficiency improvements, and sustaining test operation across several test stations simultaneously.
The labor operations include rigging and moving various size chillers in and out of test stations, performing assembly and dismantling of chiller components and systems for modifications, connecting temporary water piping to systems, installing test instrumentation, operating the chillers and compressors and collecting data via computerized control system.
How you will do itProvide Technical support and assistance to test engineers and operation supervisors.
Configure, setup, and monitor for expected operation of various temperature, pressure and power meters and measuring devices using established company procedures and schedules.
Understand and provide technical recommendations to the labor force for operation of the chiller test facility pumping and air handling systems.
Work with product engineering team members to establish good execution sequences for chiller and component testing.
Perform process analysis for cost reductions, quality improvements, and improved efficiency.
Develop work procedures to improve work processes, equipment and facility operation, or engineering test.
Collaboration with vendors for maintenance of tools and purchase of production improvement items.
Implementation and maintenance of Safety requirements for equipment and processes throughout the lab.
Provide direction to test lab personnel on specific work assignments.
Strong interaction with product design department to ensure outcomes are understood and met.
Troubleshoot nonconforming systems and components.
Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
What we look forBS in Mechanical/Production Engineering
3-5 years engineering experience in manufacturing environment
Knowledge of lean production processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Understanding of standard technical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and processes.
Self starter highly motivated
PreferredKnowledge of HVAC equipment
