Overview
Working shift: Tuesday-Saturday (potential start working hours between 8:am-9:30am - between 8-10 hours a day)
The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of frontline employees to deliver orders to key customers in a fast-paced direct store delivery environment
ResponsibilitiesManage a group of 30-40 delivery drivers (CDL preferred)Answer Field customer calls regarding deliveries and ensure 100% customer serviceEnsure store delivery time windows are met dailyWork proactively with sales representatives and warehouse operations to understand the needs of the customers and sales forceCoach, lead and develop drivers to support the sales organization and improve daily productivity via gate-to-gate route rides twice a week, minimumMaintain process improvement to further enhance productivity of deliveriesEnsure compliance of Department of Transportation and PBC safety standardsConduct team meetings and safety training to ensure that preventive measures are enforcedDemonstrate strong oral, written and interpersonal skillsPossess very strong organizational and prioritizing skillsHave a highly developed sense of urgencyDemonstrated results in improving business performance through leadershipCompensation & Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $61,400 - $95,750.Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. A minimum of 2 years managing frontline employeesBachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experiencePrior experience in union environment (preferred)Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends. Work week will be Tuesday-SaturdayClass A, CDL certified not mandatory but recommendedMust be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs. periodicallyThis position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United StatesMust have a valid driver's licenseSafe driving record strongly preferredEEO Statement
