Overview Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is impacting over 5 million customers who use our services daily, which means a job here offers countless ways to make an impact in a fast-paced organization. AMI is building towards providing better services for our external and internal customers, our goal is to provide a + 1 experience through our technologies. The System Analyst will manage the applications for the AMI platform, which includes Meter Asset Management (MAM) and ProField Encore (PFE). This role is essential to support the AMI initiative, aimed at installing and supporting smart meter data collection for all customers in CECONY and ORU.The System Analyst will work cross-functionally with various Information Technology support teams and customers throughout the company to continuously improve application and system performance while adhering to corporate computing security requirements. As a critical member of the AMI Project team, the System Analyst will occasionally participate in all areas of the project, collaborating closely with various AMI and Information Technology teams.

Responsibilities Core Responsibilities

The System Analyst will be responsible for contributing, under guidance, to the design of system architecture, workflows, and interfaces, with a focus on optimization and scalability. Additionally, the analyst will create detailed documentation, including process flows, data models, and system integration points. Ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. The System Analyst will contribute to software development and upgrades through consistent development practices and support critical 24/7 IT systems for the AMI Infrastructure. Additionally, they will gain valuable data analytical skills by supporting databases, business applications, and end users. Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to make recommendations for requirements needed and document business and technical requirements. Design and code software applications and demonstrate a theoretical understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Prioritize and manage tasks, user stories, and defects within Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum), ensuring alignment with sprint goals and deadlines. Support the integration and maintenance of IT systems, which consists of supporting the company's Advanced Metering Infrastructure ecosystem. Work closely with developers, testers, and other IT team members to ensure the seamless integration of systems. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts for business teams. Collaborates with vendors to deploy software fixes, support testing across various IT systems, and evaluate, implement, and maintain IT solutions, ensuring adherence to quality and performance standards. Performs unit, integration and system testing and sets up user acceptance testing for small to medium sized projects. Performs high-level applications testing for technology upgrades. Provides application server and desktop support and maintenance for vendor provided packages. Diagnoses and resolves critical system issues, assists others as needed, and prioritizes system defects to ensure prompt resolution and reliability. Collaborates with specialists and managers to balance new feature development with defect resolution, aligning with project goals. Qualifications Required Education/Experience

Associate's Degree and four (4) years of experience in an Information Technology (IT) related field. or Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience in an Information Technology (IT) related field. Relevant Work Experience

Knowledge of writing, executing, and debugging SQL queries. Required Demonstrates the value in taking an iterative and agile approach. Required Understanding of Waterfall, Agile or other rapid application development methods. Required Experience working with cross functional teams. Required Ability to plan, coordinate, and facilitate functional requirements and design meetings. Required Works well independently and as part of a team. Required Understanding of application design and Software Development Life cycle principles. Required Experience in application development (Java, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), SQL server, Power BI, SSIS and SSRS like technologies and tools). Preferred Exposure to systems design across one or more platforms and supporting future integrations of these systems. Preferred Experience in writing test cases (e.g. unit, snapshot, integration, end-to-end). Preferred Experience supporting a large infrastructure of systems. Preferred Make recommendation and develop a plan to transform ideas into solutions and designs, implement solutions to improve business processes. Preferred Skills And Abilities
