Capital One's Audit Analytics and Innovation Team is driving the transformation of how we work in internal audit with data & technology. We define the roadmap for the department's overall data powered assurance strategy, maintain a well managed data environment, design new early stage products and services, and accelerate audit delivery through innovative methods and technologies. The Analytics and Innovation team is a diverse, highly engaged, collaborative, cross-functional organization made up of data analysts and scientists, business analysts and auditors, who collaborate to design analytical solutions that will reinvent how we review the risk environment, enhance our coverage assurance, and increase our capacity efficiency.

Data Analysts play a critical role in achieving our strategy. As a data analytics Senior Manager in the team, you will apply your analytical and technical skills to influence a large array of impact areas; to drive our Audit Analytics driven assurance delivery, lead well managed Data Management function and influence our data powered innovation vision through automation and product development. You and your team will also drive audit assurance activities by diving deep into a line of business within our Enterprise, using data exploration and analytics to creatively seek out unidentified areas of risk. What you'll do: Lead your team in audit delivery assurance for a line of business, engaging with auditors, senior audit engagement owners and leadership to develop a robust analytics testing strategy

Lead the efforts to create a well managed data environment for Audit data

Partnering with data-focused product and reporting teams to establish and execute plans to remediate data management policy violations

Independently researching, identifying, and prototyping industry best practices for emerging data trends with a goal of preventing data issues

Influence our agenda for automation and product development and guide a team of analysts to identify opportunities for automating manual tasks and drive enhanced assurance

Help build self service and automation solutions leveraging front end and back end technology stack including Python, Flask, Dash and RPA bots.

Manage multiple projects and challenging priorities with consistency and transparency, while successfully knowing which projects and components of the roadmap to tackle first

Regularly present and communicate findings to senior leadership in a clear and compelling way. Lead discussions that help inform decision-making across the business

Develop analytical frameworks to proactively or reactively solve business problems, create insights, perform detailed analyses, design and measure experiments, develop customer/product segmentations, forecast key KPIs, and utilize models for various business objectives

An ideal candidate will possess strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities in addition to communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. This position will be in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment where you will be handling multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams Basic Qualifications: Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's Degree plus at least 7 years of experience in data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree plus at least 5 years of experience in data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD plus at least 2 years of experience in data analytics with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.

At least 5 years of experience with professional data analysis work experience

At least 2 years leading and developing with open source data technologies

At least 2 years of experience in people management

Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree or PhD in a Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field

At least 7 years of experience in statistical or econometrics hands-on work

At least 5 years of experience manipulating and performing analysis with large data sets

At least 5 years of experience in financial services industry

At least 5 years of experience in developing statistical or econometric models

At least 5 years of experience in validating statistical or econometric models

At least 2 years of experience with data governance

At least 2 years of experience with predictive analytics
