DUMP TRUCK DRIVER

Description
Primary Function:The truck driver must be able to operate a dump truck and a water truck.Typical Duties:Drive truck equipped with bottom discharge trailer to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, milled asphalt, broken concrete, grubbing, and clearing, or bituminous paving materials or earth.Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or coversDumping load in the designated areaInspect loads to ensure that cargo is securePerform daily maintenance and safety checksEnsure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company's safety culturePerform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by supervisor
Qualifications and Experience:2+ years' experience operating a dump truck.Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.Post-offer drug / alcohol screen and physical evaluation.Job site safety requirements as required by the client.Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, etc.)
Physical Requirements:Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces.Work involves standing and walking for extended periods of time.Ability to work in Confined Spaces.Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing a minimum of 35 pounds to a maximum of 100 pounds, with assistance, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.Requires visual ability sufficient to perform job duties. Work normally requires eye-hand coordination.Travel and overtime may be required.
