to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in
Medford, OR.Employment Status:
PRN/ Independent ContractorCompensation: NegotiableSchedule:
1 day every other week, 1 day/month, or 2 half days/monthRequirement Qualifications:Must hold an MD/DO license in at least one state in the United States.Must be board-certified in Neurological Surgery, Neurology, or Physiatry (Physical Medicine andRehabilitation) or candidate must have completed a 2-year residency with one of these specialties.Psychiatrists are occasionally considered but must meet the board certification or residency requirements and are subject to approval from the medical director.Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and careProficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platformsSkilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-makingWorks independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlinesPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in clinical settingsPrior VA or C&P experienceResponsibilities:Read Order request(s) including any remarks, questions, directions, or requests for opinion; thorough review of medical history including service records and previous exams. This includes refuting previous medical opinions from previous examinersRead Order request(s) including any remarks, questions, directions, or requests for opinion; thorough review of medical history including service records and previous exams. This includes refuting previous medical opinions from previous examinersCompletes appropriate Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQ) and Medical Opinions (MO) through the Electronic Medical Records System (EMR) during the exam and provides necessary documentation to the VA with a full understanding of the Veteran's claimed contention(s)Explain the exam process to the veteran and confirm the claimed conditions with the veteranComplete the chart and submit the exam within 24-48 hours after the exam is completedAdministers and interprets the MOCA test as neededFlexible schedule allowing exams to be completed in person and potentially telehealth if telehealth exams are requestedMatrix Providers is an equal-opportunity employer.
